Chris Zobel is a Creative and Marketing leader with a rare combination of analytical thinking and creative vision. Having worked across account management, strategy, planning, digital marketing, and creative leadership, he understands what it takes for campaigns and initiatives to succeed—from high-level brand architecture down to individual customer engagements.
Proven to be effective within an agency or in-house, Zobel has worked across nearly every area of advertising creative, branding, and marketing. Over a decade ago, he founded the CreativeLab design group within Solera, creating integrated experiences inspired by science and driven by data that connect businesses with consumers and consumers with brands. His experience allows him to understand how audiences interact with brands and how to build meaningful omni-channel touchpoints that encourage engagement and conversation. His teams are cross-trained across all OEM brands and develop branded, data-driven marketing campaigns and destinations.
Throughout his career, Zobel has worked closely with clients on both the agency and corporate sides. At TBWA/Chiat/Day, he worked on the Nissan North America account, managing an $8 million marketing account supporting 22 vehicle launches and campaigns. His responsibilities included strategy development, audience analysis, tactical planning, and optimization of creative digital campaigns. He contributed to a $2.5 million increase in agency production revenue while helping support vehicle launches including the Maxima, Cube, 370Z, and Rogue.
As a digital leader, Zobel managed campaigns across digital, social, and emerging platforms, including the first Apple iAd featuring the Nissan Leaf and one of the first multiplayer iPhone games, Cube Party Roundup. At Ogilvy & Mather, he managed a team of 32 digital project management specialists supporting IBM and Lenovo across a $14 million digital marketing account spanning 24 verticals and 14 languages. He also contributed to digital initiatives for brands including MetLife, Kodak, Crest Whitestrips, General Mills, Oil of Olay, AT&T, Apple, P&G, GSK, and The City of New York.
At Solera, Zobel founded the CreativeLab with zero clients or revenue and grew it into a team of 18 creative professionals supporting accounts valued at more than $45 million. The group helped secure and support accounts including Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Toyota Motor North America, and Southeast Toyota. He led omni-channel brand strategies across print, email, display, social, video, POP, and collateral while helping develop global campaign guidelines spanning 66 companies.
